Terms of Use

Nelson’s Self Store King’s Lynn
Last updated: September 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use apply to the website at https://nelsonsselfstorekingslynn.co.uk, operated by NELSONS SELFSTORE LIMITED, trading as Nelson’s Self Store King’s Lynn.

They explain the conditions for using our website, sending enquiries and accessing information about our King’s Lynn storage services. Please read them before using the website and retain a copy if useful.

These are website terms. Renting a storage unit requires a separate storage agreement and any booking or payment terms expressly provided before you commit. These Terms of Use do not, by themselves, grant a right to occupy a unit, authorise recurring payments or give us rights to enter, sell or dispose of stored goods.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under applicable law.

2. Company and contact information

Please contact us using these details if you have questions about the website, an enquiry, a booking or these terms. The registered office is our company correspondence address and is separate from the King’s Lynn storage facility.

3. Scope of the website

The website provides information about self storage at our King’s Lynn location. It may include unit information, prices, photographs, guidance, contact facilities and links to booking or payment services.

Information about another Nelson’s branch does not automatically apply to King’s Lynn. Offers, access arrangements, unit availability and services must be checked for the location you intend to use.

General guides about packing, moving and storage are intended to help you plan. They do not replace instructions for your particular goods, professional advice where needed, or the applicable storage agreement. We will exercise reasonable care in providing information, and this clause does not remove responsibility for statements on which the law permits you to rely.

4. Using the website

You may browse the website, request information and use its available functions for legitimate personal or business purposes.

When making an enquiry or requesting a booking, provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you act for a business or another person, you must have appropriate authority. Tell us promptly if information relevant to an active request changes.

Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information or payment-card details through a general contact form. Use only the payment method or secure document process expressly provided for that purpose.

Where login facilities are made available, keep your credentials private and notify us of suspected unauthorised access. We will not ask you to disclose an unrelated email account password through a website enquiry.

5. Enquiries, quotations and booking requests

Submitting a contact form, clicking “Get a Quick Quote”, requesting availability or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not alone reserve a unit or form a storage contract.

A “Book Now” button may lead to an enquiry or to a separate booking process. The information presented during that process will explain the steps and the point at which a reservation or contract is accepted. An acknowledgement of receipt is different from express acceptance of a booking.

Before a binding booking or storage agreement is made, we will provide the material details, including the selected service or unit, location, price and billing period, relevant charges, start arrangements and applicable cancellation or termination conditions. You will have an opportunity to correct information before submitting an online order where that function is offered.

Any quotation is subject to the conditions and validity period stated in it. Where availability changes before acceptance, we will explain the available options. We will not substitute a materially different unit or service after agreement without an appropriate contractual basis and any consent required by law.

Keep the booking confirmation and storage agreement. If an expected confirmation does not arrive, contact us before assuming that a unit has been reserved.

6. Prices, charges and promotions

Prices relate to the location, unit and offer described. “From” prices are starting prices for the qualifying options identified and are not a quotation for every unit. Availability may vary.

Before you commit, we will clearly explain the total payable, including VAT where applicable and any unavoidable charges, the billing frequency, and any deposit or optional service charges. A weekly equivalent and a four-week billing amount are not the same as a calendar-month charge; the applicable basis will be stated.

Promotions, including military or Blue Light discounts where offered at King’s Lynn, are subject to the eligibility, unit restrictions, duration and other conditions disclosed with the offer. The applicable price after a promotional period and whether discounts can be combined will be explained before agreement. We will not apply unpublished restrictions retrospectively to an accepted offer.

If we identify an obvious pricing or description error before acceptance, we will notify you and offer the choice to proceed on the corrected basis or withdraw the request. An existing binding agreement is subject to applicable law and its valid terms; an error does not give us an unrestricted right to change it.

These Terms of Use do not establish a particular rental price, deposit, late-payment fee or minimum rental period.

7. Unit descriptions, photographs and suitability

Published dimensions and capacities may be approximate where stated. If an exact measurement, doorway size, access arrangement or weight restriction matters to you, contact us before committing and request confirmation or an inspection where available.

Photographs and illustrations may show example units or explain storage use. Any illustrative image should be identified where necessary to avoid misleading you. A photograph does not promise that an identical unit is available on your chosen date.

Please explain any particular requirements so we can respond accurately. Do not assume climate control, specialist handling, insurance, removal assistance or suitability for delicate goods unless expressly confirmed for your booking.

Nothing in this section removes your rights where a service does not match its description or an agreed requirement.

8. Storage agreements and use of the facility

Actual storage is governed by the separate agreement supplied for the King’s Lynn facility. That agreement should identify the contracting company and site and explain payment obligations, access arrangements, permitted goods, security responsibilities, insurance requirements, notice periods and lawful remedies for breach.

You must own the goods or have authority to arrange their storage. The permitted and prohibited goods must be reviewed before move-in. Do not assume that hazardous, illegal, perishable or high-value specialist items are accepted merely because the website describes general household or business storage.

Access hours and staffed opening hours are different. Any advertised access arrangement remains subject to the agreed authorisation, site safety requirements and lawful restrictions explained in the storage agreement. The website does not promise that staff are available around the clock.

Insurance is not created by submitting an enquiry or using the website. Any insurance or protection arrangement, its provider, cover, exclusions and charges must be explained separately before you choose or agree to it.

For storage-specific matters, the valid terms of the separate storage agreement and mandatory legal rights govern. Neither these website terms nor a privacy acknowledgement can validate an unfair contract term or remove information that the law makes binding.

9. Consumer cancellation and refunds

If you are acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you may have consumer rights in addition to the terms of your booking or storage agreement.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies to a storage service contract made online, by telephone or away from our business premises, the usual cancellation period is 14 days from the day after the contract is made. Any applicable exception and the required cancellation information must be explained before you commit.

To exercise an applicable cancellation right, send us a clear statement identifying your booking and your wish to cancel. You may email nelsonskingslynn11@gmail.com or write to our registered office. Where required, we will also provide the model cancellation form; you do not have to use that form.

If you expressly request the service to begin during the cancellation period, a lawful proportionate charge for the service supplied before cancellation may apply, provided the necessary information and request requirements have been met. A cancellation right is lost through full performance only where the legal conditions, including the required express consent and acknowledgement, are satisfied.

Where a statutory cancellation refund is due, we will make it within the applicable legal deadline, normally within 14 days after being informed of cancellation, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise and without a refund fee. Only deductions permitted by law will be made.

Ending storage after a cancellation period is a separate matter governed by the valid termination provisions in your storage agreement. Any deposit deductions or additional charges must have a lawful and clearly explained basis. Nothing in these terms imposes a blanket “no refunds” rule or restricts remedies for a service that is not provided as agreed.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the website to:

  • Send fraudulent requests, impersonate another person or provide information you are not entitled to share.

  • Upload malware or deliberately interfere with website operation or security.

  • Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, databases or systems.

  • Send spam, abusive messages, unlawful material or content that infringes another person’s rights.

  • Conduct automated activity that disrupts the service or bypasses technical access restrictions.

We may take proportionate action to prevent misuse, including restricting website access and reporting suspected unlawful activity where appropriate. Restrictions on website use do not automatically cancel an existing storage contract or remove a customer’s legal rights. Please contact us by email or telephone if a restriction prevents a legitimate enquiry.

11. Intellectual property

The website’s original text, design, photographs, branding and other materials are owned by us or used with the relevant permission, except where otherwise identified.

You may view, print or download reasonable extracts for personal use or internal business planning in connection with our services. Keep ownership notices and do not alter material in a way that misrepresents it.

Commercial republication, resale, distribution or use of our branding requires permission unless otherwise permitted by law. No website content grants a licence to use a third party’s trade mark or other intellectual property beyond the rights expressly provided.

12. Information you send us

You retain any rights you have in material you submit. You permit us to use it only to handle your request, provide the agreed service and carry out related lawful administration as explained in our Privacy Policy.

Sending an enquiry does not give us unrestricted ownership of its contents or permission to publish your personal details, photographs or testimonial. We will obtain any additional permission needed for a separate promotional use.

You should have the necessary authority to supply documents or information relating to someone else. This does not reduce our responsibility to process that information lawfully.

13. Third-party links and services

The website may link to maps, review platforms, social media, booking tools, payment services or other independent websites. We do not control their content or availability. Their own terms and privacy information may apply when you use them.

A link does not necessarily mean we endorse every statement on the linked website. Please check the identity of the provider and relevant terms before making a payment or sharing information. Using a service provider does not remove responsibilities that remain ours under applicable law or our agreement with you.

You may link to our public website fairly and lawfully, provided the link does not imply an endorsement or relationship that does not exist. Do not frame or present our content in a misleading way.

14. Website availability and changes

We aim to keep the website useful and available, but maintenance, technical faults or other events can interrupt access. We may update content, repair features or temporarily suspend parts of the website for legitimate operational or security reasons.

We will take reasonable steps to address problems within our control. An interruption does not remove obligations under an existing contract, and alternative contact methods are available in section 2.

We may update these website terms to reflect changes to the website or the law. The date above identifies the version. Changes operate prospectively and do not retrospectively alter an accepted storage agreement, accrued rights or an existing dispute. Material changes will be brought to users’ attention where appropriate.

15. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

For consumers, we remain responsible for loss or damage caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care where that loss or damage was a foreseeable result. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen or if both parties knew it might happen when the relevant agreement was made.

For business users, to the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability arising solely from use of this website for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, anticipated savings or goodwill. This does not override a separate storage agreement or a responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These website terms do not set a financial cap on liability for stored goods and do not require consumers to compensate us for losses caused by our own fault. Rights and remedies relating to storage must be assessed under the applicable agreement and the law.

16. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including enquiries, notifications, retention and your rights. Cookie information explains any technologies used on the website and the choices available to you.

Using the website or accepting these Terms of Use does not, by itself, give consent to optional cookies or direct marketing. Where consent is required, it must be obtained separately.

17. Complaints and dispute resolution

Please contact nelsonskingslynn11@gmail.com or telephone 07414 225057 if something has gone wrong. Include enough information to identify the enquiry or booking and explain the outcome you are seeking. We will consider the concern fairly and aim to resolve it promptly.

Where a complaint cannot be resolved, we will explain our position and provide information about any applicable alternative dispute resolution requirements, including whether we are obliged or willing to participate in a relevant process. These terms do not require a consumer to complete paid mediation before exercising a legal right to bring a claim.

Privacy complaints are addressed under the process in our Privacy Policy. You retain the right to contact a regulator or obtain independent advice.

18. Governing law and general provisions

These Terms of Use are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law. Consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their home courts where the law permits. For business users, disputes about these website terms are subject to the courts of England and Wales.

If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. A delay in exercising a right does not by itself waive that right. No person other than you and NELSONS SELFSTORE LIMITED is intended to acquire enforceable rights under these website terms, unless the law provides otherwise.

For questions or a copy of these terms, please contact us using the details in section 2.
